An isotonic foam mattress pad can change the way you sleep.
With incredible support and comfort it will transform your
traditional, ordinary mattress into a isotonic memory foam
mattress pads from the future that cradles your body and gives
you the sleep you’ve been wanting for years!
The foam in an mattress pad Isotonic is measured in different
ways. It’s measured by the weight which is determined by the
amount of chemicals that are added to a regular polyurethane
foam (which in turn becomes memory foam). It’s measured by it’s
Indentation Load Deflection which tells you how much weight an
isotonic foam bed pad can take to cause it to indent (up to a
certain percentage). The magnetic memory foam mattress pad also
measured by its resilience and tensile strength which this page
will attempt to explain.
The Resilience In An Isotonic Cool Foam Mattress Pad
Cover
The resilience of an isotonic foam mattress pad is the
measurement of an isotonic foam pad’s springiness. This is
determined by an experiment that is usually conducted by the
manufacturers trial labs. The process for the mattress pad
memory foam goes like this: A steel ball is dropped from a
height of thirty-six inches. The percent rebound is then
measured. The percent is what determines the resilience. If the
ball rebounded very high then the foam is given an H.R. rating
(for High Resilience). The general rule of thumb is that the
higher the resilience rating the stronger and the more durable
the isotonic memory foam mattress pad will be when compressed
by pressure and force (ie your body).
The Tensile Strength Of An Isotonic Iso Cool Foam Mattress
Pad
This value measures the extent to which foam can be
stretched. The way it is measured is in pounds per square inch
and is measured by how long the foam can be stretched in terms
of percent of the stretch before it ruptures. Most of the
mattresses used in bodipedic memory foam mattress pads will not
necessarily need this type of rating. Most memory foam in
mattresses is not stretched so this rating bares very little
meaning on foam. The foam in your isotonic pad will be
compressed (when you sleep on it) but more than likely you’re
not going to stretch it (and if you do why would you?).
The ratings given to foam can differ as the as each batch of
foam can be varied in the pour amount. No company can give
absolute specific ratings and so each rating given should be an
approximate. So keep this in mind when you read the rating on
the Isotonic Foam Mattress Pad you are about to purchase.
